Why does the symbolism of love - the heart - have such a shape? It has nothing to do with the human heart. Rather, it looks more like lips parted for a kiss ...

The most popular version is that hearts are an inverted leaf of ivy, which Dionysus or someone else in paradise designated as a symbol of voluptuousness.

It’s very easy to create a bright, unusual and touching Valentine’s greeting card with your own hands!

You will need:

  • Colored paper for pastels, or designer paper, or children's colored cardboard, size A4, pink (or any other to your taste);
  • Kraft cardboard (can be cut from a shoe box), about 10 x 10 cm;
  • Ordinary paper (3 hearts of different sizes should be cut from it);
  • Red fabric 10 x 10 cm;
  • Flap with a printed pattern, any ornament, 6 x 6 cm;
  • Sisal (packing material of florists), rectangle 10 x 15 cm;
  • Green velvet ribbon 1 cm wide, 45 cm long;

DIY greeting cards

Step 1

Cut a rectangle from sisal and paste the PVA onto a half-folded cardboard.

Step 2

We transfer hearts to fabric and cardboard. Small will be colorful, large - cardboard.

Step 3

We put the finished hearts on top of each other and glue them together.

Step 4

We fill the gold thread into the sewing machine and sew along the contour of the red heart twice.

Step 5

From the scraps of fabric we make small hearts and glue “Moment” glue on the sisal.

Step 6

We wrap the card with tape and glue it to the sisal with a gun, glue the heart over the tape.

Step 7

From a lace and thin ribbon we make a bow and glue it with a glue gun into the corner of the heart.

Step 8

In several places, drip glue "Moment" and plant on bead drops. It remains to sign the card.
