Fashion laws can hardly be called unambiguous. They are constantly changing and cause controversy and doubt year after year. We decided to understand modern rules and determine where myths are and where reality is.

For help, we turned to our expert, stylist, head of the Wardrobe Rehab image studio Oksana Bolbot and asked her to comment on 3 common allegations.

Law No. 1: a woman should always wear high-heeled shoes - this makes her slimmer, sexier and more attractive

No, it is not. When choosing the height of the heel, you must first of all orient yourself on your weight. If the leg is very full or extremely thin, high heels with an open leg line should not be worn.
Further, there is a very catchy rule: the shorter the skirt, the lower the heel. This guideline will definitely help to avoid misunderstandings in the image. Accordingly, if the skirt is short, choose elegant pumps, flat sandals, open sandals. A knee-length skirt looks good with a medium-height heel, and a midi skirt - with a 7-9 cm high heel.
The last rule is tied to the thickness of the heel. If you wear a fitted silhouette, choose elegant heels that resemble a wineglass in shape. If you have a free silhouette, you can choose a stable round or square heel, a toe platform and any comfortable shoes.

Law number 2: lace can be combined with any fabric, the main thing is to choose the right color

No, this statement is also erroneous. Any fabric and any thing has its own meaning. First of all, we look at whether the presence of lace corresponds to the meaning that we put in the thing.
Let's take an example: suppose you sew a sheath dress for the office, while planning to make a beautiful lace insert on the back. This part of the dress will make the figure insanely attractive, but, unfortunately, absolutely not appropriate in meaning.
But if we understand that lace is well connected in meaning with the idea and purpose of the ensemble, of course, it can be used.

1. Focus on the scale of the lace insert. The more lace in the product, the easier the color combination and style should be.
2. Correlate the density of the lace fabric with the density of the fabric - the weight of the fabrics should match each other. The denser the fabric, the coarser and heavier the lace will be, and vice versa.
3. The most important nuance is your facial features and body type.

Buying lace, apply it to your face: will it not forgive you? Doesn't facial features look rougher? Choose your own lace format, and for this it will be necessary to attach at least 10-15 different types of fabric to the face.
Speech type is a separate speech. Remember: lace is a fabric that visually adds volume to the body.Distribute this volume in the correct zones! If you have lush breasts and slender hips, opt for lace skirts.
