Every self-respecting fashionista should have a fur coat in her wardrobe. Two is better. But natural fur products are expensive, and many now support the movement of "green".

Products from it are of high quality and rich variety. Well-known manufacturers offer faux furs that are difficult to distinguish from natural ones, imitation is so good. In addition, faux fur is a trend of the past few years. Many eminent designers are increasingly complementing their collections with models of faux fur.
Faux fur has a woven or knitted base made of cotton, viscose, silk or polyester. The villi themselves are made of artificial or mixed fibers (with the addition of natural threads of silk, cotton, wool). The natural components of this textile miracle increase its quality and value. Faux fur items are durable, wear-resistant, warm and beautiful. But the main advantage of this material is that you can sew any fur product yourself and take care of it at home. Yes, the low pile and smooth faux fur can be machine washed!
For washing, modern non-aggressive powders that rinse well even at a temperature of 30 ° are perfect, for example Ariel (take option Color & Style!) The only thing that needs to be added to the regular washing program for faux fur or articles made of it is the double rinse function. The spin is light. After washing, the product is thoroughly shaken and dried on a hanger.

Expert Opinion
The moderator of our site, an engineer-technologist of sewing production, a teacher of sewing, Svetlana Khatskevich, also gives our readers valuable recommendations for cutting and caring for products made of faux fur:
The advantage of artificial fur over natural is the ease of products, ease of care and storage, less susceptibility to spoilage, and, of course, lower cost.
But not all fur can be washed - only low pile and smooth. Wavy fur and fur with curls during washing can straighten and lose its original appearance, and long-pile (more than 3 cm) can roll.
Therefore, before washing it is better to try to wash it by hand and dry a small piece of fur left over from sewing. Drying the fur in the machine is not worth it, wring out only at low speeds.
After the final drying, things on the shoulders of the fur can be combed. Better with a metal brush for combing animal hair (low pile and fluffy) or a comb with rare blunt teeth (long pile or wavy).
But you should not iron it, since it is made of synthetic fibers, which lose their shape from a hot and even warm iron.
If the fur is present on the product as a finish, then it can be cleaned without washing the whole thing with a brush or sponge dipped in soapy water. After this, the fur should be washed with clean water and the product dried, if necessary, comb the fur. They also do this if the base of the fur is glued. Such a product should not be wet.
The yellowness that appears on the white fur is removed with a brush dipped in a mixture of lemon juice and water taken equally.
It is better to store fur products on a hanger, in a flattened form, otherwise creases may form in the places where the fur is bent.
