Bright applications on a red background, fringe and pompons, decorative stitches - a Christmas boot in which Santa through the window “delivers” the desired gifts to the children, can be sewn in just a couple of hours!
How is this done - step by step. You will need:
A piece of red felt in the size of a boot, the remains of felt of turquoise, pink and yellow for applications; braid with pompons; suede residues; residues of suitable yarn; zigzag scissors; ordinary scissors, hole punch, roller knife; ruler, litter for cutting; Needles for embroidery with a sharp and blunt tip.
STEP 1
Make a paper pattern. To do this, cut out a hand-drawn boot from paper and add 1 cm of allowances along all edges. Fold a piece of felt in half, apply a paper pattern, chop and cut.
STEP 2
From suede, cut long strips 0.5 cm wide for decorative stitches at the side seams. On the remaining strip with a length equal to the upper edge of the boot, cut the fringe along the line with a roller knife.
STEP 3
Cut a strip of suede with a fringe in half. Put each part on the upper edge of the boot, on top put a braid with pompons. Chop fringe and braid. Sew contrasting yarn with straight stitches by hand with a sharp-pointed embroidery needle.
STEP 4
Fold the two parts of the boot with the wrong side inwards. Punch a hole punch through both layers of felt along the lateral edges of the hole at equal intervals. Sew the details of the boot with strips of suede stitches over the edge.
STEP 5
Scissors "zigzag" to cut different ornaments from the remains of felt for applications. Sew them on top of each other with contrasting threads, decorate as desired. Sew on a boot. Sew a loop from suede or felt and sew on top of the back of the boot.
