“Miss Fatty” in Italy, “The Most Beautiful Booty” in Brazil and similar contests and fashion shows, perhaps, will soon cease to be an exception to the rule and a violation of the laws of the fashion industry.
However, some fashion houses still run the risk of experimenting with size. Clothing for donuts is sewn, first of all, by democratic brands: Evans, Zara, H&M, Forever 21. The first models from the 48th size began to appear at Calvin Klein. The president of the American brand Marc Jacobs Robert Duffy also prepared a collection for obese women. This line of clothing appeared on the world catwalks, where until recently the foot of fatties infrequently stepped.
“The era of thin models has not ended, but I want experiments,” legendary John Galliano expressed his wish in an interview and in 2006 brought to the catwalk hundred-kilogram young ladies, charming and feminine. In the same year, Jean-Paul Gaultier invited the girls with impressive forms to participate in the display of his collection. However, for the Plus Size fashion to stop only shocking the public, and become a full-fledged part of the fashion industry, a lot of time must pass.
The first in the history of haute couture large-scale display of collections for obese women took place only in 2013. Plus-Size Fashion Weekend has become part of London Fashion Week. The plus-size weekend featured collections of British and international designers and many interesting styles of clothing for the spring-summer season.
The most relevant dress of the season
A well-chosen dress is the best way to hide problem areas and emphasize the dignity of the figure. A fitting outfit is acceptable, but it should have a special cut, as in the collection from the fashion brand Cult of California, or an interesting pattern. The trend of the season is a modeling silhouette. Full fashion guru Sirita Badu presented dresses with bright accents that focus on the hourglass figure. Flowing dresses of medium length A-silhouette with an emphasis on the neckline (Simply Be, Live Unlimited) are on the face of the dummies, and models from Lucabella have once again proved that layering in clothes is very suitable for full girls, if only sophisticated dresses are created from light fabrics.
Try on pants
Trousers flared from the hip are in fashion; they perfectly hide full legs. Summer is not a reason to abandon such models, only the material should be light, flying. Such a style, however, eliminates the wide tunic that plump women rightly love. Instead, there is a top and an elongated jacket. But the “hoodies”, which sometimes serve as a sort of shell for hiding from the world, must comply with three rules: light fabric, interesting drapery and leggings or jeans on the figure as the only possible combination.Pants above the ankles or on the floor for full girls are suitable, and shorts can be afford only if they are slightly above the knee.
Summer palette
Black is not always slim, modern designers are sure. Blue is the new black, says Pauline et Julie. Mustard and terracotta are also popular. Even in summer, saturated shades of blue, pink, red, yellow, white are in fashion. For pastel lovers, designers presented a choice of pistachio, pale blue, beige. Fashionistas cannot do without this season without print outfits. Motives are cosmic, ethnic and, of course, floral. Important: only “flowering” dresses, sundresses and elongated tunics will look good on a magnificent figure. Separately, a blouse or skirt with a floral print will visually increase, will emphasize any one part of the body. But the dress can already be supplemented with a plain jacket or denim vest.
