Results of the III International Design Competition

Swarovski company and the online store sw-strazy.ru summed up the III International Design Competition.

On November 28, 2015, at the ceremony in Moscow, the winners of the III International Design Competition "Strength of Signs. Message of the Ancestors" were held by Swarovski and Vector Fashion LLC (the official distributor of Swarovski crystals in Russia). Prizes were awarded to the winners in the categories "Accessories", "Jewelry" and "Clothing". As noted by the organizers of the competition, the traditional competition of designers will be held next year.
Both professional designers and amateurs took part in the competition, and all the works were distinguished by the highest level of skill. In total, 69 works from 54 designers were submitted to the competition. The work was evaluated by an expert jury composed of representatives of the company Vector Fashion and Swarovski, Maria Tychina (jewelry designer), as well as Swarovski ambassadors in Russia.
Experts evaluated the work both on the conformity of products to the stated theme of the competition, and on their uniqueness, innovation and quality of workmanship. The winners of the competition were recognized:

• in the nomination "Accessories" - Alla Maslennikova (tiara "Gueniver")

• in the nomination "Decoration - Necklace" - Apollinaria Koprivnik (necklace "My religion / My religion")

• in the nomination "Decoration - Earrings" - Julia Rybakova (Dannebrog Earrings)
• in the nomination "Decoration - Sets" - Svetlana Raeva (belt and brooch "CLEVER. Fourth piece of luck")
• in the nomination "Clothing" - Svetlana Gerasimova (Leotard for rhythmic gymnastics "Dark Angel")

The winners were awarded valuable prizes: certificates for the purchase of Swarovski products from the official distributor sw-strazy.ru, as well as original products decorated with Swarovski crystals.
As part of the awarding ceremony, the winners and finalists of the competition presented a new collection of Swarovski crystals autumn-winter - 2016-2017. Contest designers appreciated the new printing techniques offered by brand experts to create true 3D effects. Particular attention was paid to the Kaputt crystal series, which was especially developed for Swarovski by the world-famous couturier Jean-Paul Gaultier.
In the final of the ceremony, Tatyana Shumilina, deputy director of the contest organizer for Vector Fashion LLC, noted: “This competition is very important for us because it allows us to see a real miracle. How much love, skill, so much fiction and so much beauty is here! The works created with your hands cannot be called other than masterpieces, and therefore the jury had to make very difficult decisions. We, of course, we’ll continue to hold these contests because they serve as a source of inspiration for all those who want to be creative. "
