Hotel for animals

On the eve of vacation, this question excites many. After all, not everyone has the opportunity to take a four-legged companion with them.

The first thing that comes to mind is to leave the pet to friends or relatives. However, upon closer inspection, the pitfalls of this venture emerge. For example, a dog needs a firm hand and, in the absence of owners, wins back on their relatives - it arranges a rout in an apartment, etc. Or a cute cat protests against moving to a new house in a proven way: refuses to go to the tray, spoils the furniture. Compassionate mothers and grandmothers love to feed a yearning baby with unsuitable treats, and he returns home fat, with shortness of breath. Friends and relatives can finally go on vacation themselves. So it makes sense to think about third-party overexposure.

Professional approach

If the animal is a thoroughbred, then you can try to negotiate with the owner of the nursery, where once a kitten or puppy was bought. Here people are well aware of the features of this breed and are vitally interested in the good condition of your pet. However, there are not so many people who want to deal with overexposure. This is due to the large number of their own animals and fear of infections.
A great option for dog lovers would be a dog handler. He will find an approach to any doggy and certainly will not spoil it.In addition, he can be asked to conduct a correction of the dog’s behavior or to teach him something new. A veterinarian who takes animals for the holidays is also a good solution, but only if you know him or recommended him to you. In all other cases, this is a game of roulette.

In good hands

Not only professionals, but also amateurs are engaged in overexposure. Among the latter there are many who also do everything wisely. They take no more than 3-4 dogs or 5-6 cats to the house, after making sure that the animals are healthy, and take care of them as their own.
When choosing this type of overexposure, be careful, there is a risk of running into scammers. If you decide on a private overexposure, it should be recommended and verified.

What to look for?

ROOM

It should be a separate room or annex - a capital building, and not a temporary hut made of boards or iron. It is important that there is ventilation and heating.

CELLS OR BOXES

Like it or not, there's no getting around them. There are a lot of animals in hotels and you can’t keep them together - a fight will certainly happen. Of course, the cells or boxes should be spacious enough so that the animal has where to turn around.

FEED

It’s better to bring your own, to which the pet is used to. Most zoological hotels feed their guests with dry food of average and below average quality.

CARE

Make sure that four-legged guests are provided with the greatest possible freedom of movement. If special conditions are needed, feel free to negotiate them.

Advice

  1. You need to worry about overexposure the pet at least a month before departure and choose 2-3 suitable options. Do not be lazy and go to see everything with your own eyes. If they offer not to go anywhere and are even ready to pick up a pet from home themselves, this should alert.
  2. A zoo hotel and a decent private trader will definitely require a veterinary passport with vaccination marks.
  3. When an animal is taken to a hotel, it can be examined by a veterinarian - this means that the risk of catching an infection from other caudate "guests" will be minimal.
  4. Do not agree in words - sign the contract. If the pet needs special conditions (more frequent feeding, longer walking), draw up an annex to the contract.

Not a single zoological hotel will accept an animal without vaccinations given no earlier than 1.5 months and no later than 14 days prior to check-in.
