A narrow, one-sided crease along the mid-front line creates the illusion of a secret fastener. A similar effect is achieved due to the correct processing of the V-cut with a fold.

Using the silk blouse from Burda 12/2018 as an example, consider how to process a V-neck with a single-sided fold on a shelf:

Step 1. Mark the crease before

Please note: the crease fold line, the mid-front line and the crease line are only needed on the right half of the front.

The left alignment line is only required on the left half of the front (= red lines).

Step 2. How to do one-sided folding

Fold the front along the fold line of the folds inward.

Stitch the neck sections as shown in the figure, ending the top line exactly at the marked seam line.

At the upper end of the stitching, cut the allowances close to the last stitch (arrow).

Unscrew the front, fold along the fold line of the fold with the wrong side inward, combine the fold of the fold with the alignment line on the left half of the front and pin.

Stitch the crease along the marked line. At the beginning and at the end of the stitching, sew.

Step 3

Neutralize the inner cut of the front neckline.

Pin the grinder to the front neck section with the front side to the front side.

Lay a line along the neckline.

Cut off the seam allowances close to the stitching line, and in the rounding sections and along the midline (arrow), cut them.
