An embodiment of a welt pocket with a wide leaf and a zipper in a winter quilted coat on an Alpolux 300 is presented.
In this case, the insulation is alpolux of grades 100 + 200. The thickness of the insulation as a result is 3 cm. It is difficult to make an even, high-quality pocket with such a thickness of the product. I took the path of least resistance) and the pocket worked BEFORE warming. Surely there are other recommendations for making such pockets.)
The order of execution is presented in the photo in the "carousel". A small description below.
1. Turn over zippers with silver raincoat trims. Moreover, the lower braid of lightning on both sides.
2. Insulate a piece of khaki raincoat fabric with Alpolux 100.
3. Stitch the leaf and burlap of the pocket from the pad to the bottom braid of the zipper.
4. Squeeze a burlap of silver raincoat fabric over the top braid of the zipper.
DO NOT STACK BAGS!
5. Place the pocket on the shelf and glue it with doubler.
6. Run a slotted “window” under the pocket on the shelf using the khaki raincoat trim.
7. Insert the finished pocket into the “window”.
8. Stitch by stitching the “window” across the face to the edge, the upper long side of the pocket, and the short lateral sides.
9.Fold up the silver burlap pocket.
10. Stitch the bottom long side of the pocket by stitching the “window” across the face to the edge.
11. Chop and grind the burlap pockets.
12. Only now insulate the shelf with Alpolux.
13. Stitch raincoat fabric with insulation on both sides without grasping the burlap pocket.
14. Only after stitching cut through the alpolux strictly under the pocket. But don't cut the rectangle to the end. Leave the Alpolux on the top side uncut.
15. Under the leaflet of the pocket, an excessively thick layer of insulation (3cm) is obtained. I cut a part of the layer at this place. The thickness remained 1−2cm.
16. Sew slices of alpolux manually in the allowances of burlap pockets.
17. Photo not shown. But in the end, I still insulated the burlap pocket from the inside, having noticed the Alpolux 100 to it.
Quilted coat with a hooded collar.
Thank you for the attention! Good sewing to everyone !!!)))
