The Christmas calendar, traditional for European countries, shows the time remaining before the holiday.

It consists of 24 days and is usually a postcard or a cardboard house with opening windows where small gifts or notes with wishes lie. But there are other original options.

CHRISTMAS IN THE CITY
If the postman were delivering mail, he would have to sweat a lot: after all, the house numbers on this street are completely random.
And so a bag of milk turns into a house with windows

You will need: empty and washed inside Tetrapack bag, waterproof black and red markers, stationery knife, scissors, cardboard, backing film, white spray paint, disposable rubber gloves, glue, electric garland.
STEP 1
Using a black waterproof marker, draw the facade of the house (windows, doors, roof, etc.) on the bag.
STEP 2 and 3
Cut windows and doors. Scissors are better for fillets, and for straight lines and corners use a clerical knife.

STEP 4
Cut the bottom of the bag.
STEP 5
Cut a small hole on the back of the home package. A garland will pass through it later.
STEP 6
Put the house on the backing film and cover it with spray paint, treating the entire surface several times with thin layers.
STEP 7
Cardboard is also white. Cut a small plate out of cardboard and write on it with a red marker the number of the house - any number of the Christmas calendar. In this case, it is 24.

HORNES OF ABUNDANCE

Not only children, but also adults rejoice at the Christmas calendar. A great idea is to hang small parcels and envelopes on deer horns, sealing them with silver wax.
Tip: you can use decorative metal buttons as a print.
You will need: deer horns (available at flea markets or junk shop); gift paper; thin batch cord / twisted thread; elegant metal buttons with embossing; silver sealing wax; scissors.
Description of work: gifts should be packed in envelopes or boxes, wrapped in gift paper and bandaged with a bundle cord or twisted thread. Treat the ends of the cord with wax. Also, metal buttons can be glued to the ends of the cord using hot wax. Number the gifts and hang them with a cord or twisted thread to the horns (see photo).

BY PACKAGES
For this version of the Christmas calendar, cut out the numbers from various pieces of cloth and stick them on envelopes. Lay out zigzag stitches on the three sides of each envelope, put a gift inside and sew the fourth side of the envelope. Do not cut the threads. Done!
You will need: 24 envelopes of various sizes; rags of fabric; flizofiks; sewing threads; as samples, figures made using a computer, or a set of patterns; satin ribbon; pencil; scissors; hole puncher.
Description of work: Glue the numbers from the fabric from 1 to 24 on paper envelopes. Use the right-sized numbers made on a computer as a sample. You can use templates and then enlarge to the desired size in the copy center. Place the figures in mirror image on the paper layer of the flizofiksa and cut out with allowances along the contour. Spread the figures from the flizofiks on the wrong side of the flap, iron and precisely cut along the contour. Then iron the numbers on the envelopes. At the same time, make sure that the iron is not very hot. Otherwise, the fabric will darken. Sew the side edges and the bottom edge of the envelopes to the desired size with stitches of the “goat” seam, put gifts in the envelopes, sew the top edge the same way. Leave the ends of the threads free. Make a hole in the top corner of the envelopes with a hole punch.Pass a piece of satin braid into the hole for hanging.
ON JARS
A wonderful calendar can be made out of tin cans on the windowsill or on the shelf. Christmas trees from paper attached to the covers in any order will give a Christmas look to this composition.
Attention: The pattern for model 19 is shown on the pattern sheet in the special issue Burda Creative.
You will need: two sheets of gift paper with a small red pattern; tracing paper; photocardboard; ball pen; pencil; scissors; aerosol glue; Scotch; Empty tin cans with lids.
Description of work: cut the Christmas tree motif from a sheet of patterns along the contour. For Christmas trees of larger and smaller sizes, the motive should be increased, respectively, reduced on the copier to the desired size. Then glue the motives with aerosol glue on the photo board and cut it out. Spray glue onto the back of one sheet of gift paper. Caution: the glue should be sprayed with a thin uniform layer. Glue both sheets of gift paper with the wrong side to the wrong side. Leave the paper to dry completely. Spread out motives on gift paper.
The contours of motifs to transfer to gift paper with a pencil. Important: for each Christmas tree, 2 separate parts are required. Then make cuts on each part. In this case, cut one part from above and the other part from below exactly to the mark (see arrow and mark on the pattern). Then insert one part into another part. Wash tin cans and attach finished Christmas trees to the lids of the cans using tape.

ON ENVELOPES
Movie tickets, gift certificates, poems and photographs will fit perfectly in envelopes from the newspaper. And if you have a copy with hieroglyphs, the envelopes will look very impressive. Using stencils and acrylic paint, put the numbers on the envelopes and pull the rope or ribbon through them.
You will need: Asian newspapers glue; stencils with numbers; acrylic paint of red color; brush or sponge; cord; scissors; hole puncher.
Description of work: cut out 24 squares of different sizes from the newspaper. Fold each square in half diagonally, fix the bend with a fingernail, then deploy again. Opposite corners of the square overlap to a width of approx. 4 cm. The folds lie parallel to the previously fixed fold. Glue the sides at the points of contact. Overlap the other two angles, secure the bends with the fingernail. Pour some paint into the plate. Place the stencils of the desired numbers on the newspaper details in the middle. Take some paint with a brush or sponge and apply to the template. Allow the paint to dry, open the corners of the newspaper part, put a gift in it, fold the corners together and glue them again.
TREE, GROW!
Excuse: "Honey, there’s nowhere to put a Christmas tree in our apartment" - it doesn’t work anymore. There is a place where there is a wall. Our tree is created from decorative braid, gift bags are also fixed with braid.

CLOSER TO NATURE
Small bags, which are presented on the next page, are sewn very quickly thanks to our instructions. The motifs of the bunny, fox, gnomes, etc. you will find on the pattern sheet. Hang drawings wherever you want with braid.
Attention: all patterns of motifs are given on a sheet of patterns in a special issue Burda Creative.
You will need: various polka dots of cotton fabric; safety pin; color matching sewing threads (Coats); old wooden frame; sandpaper; soft rag; aerosol pink lacquer (Dupli Color); matching cotton braid; stapler; thick cardboard; glue; scissors; hole puncher; OK. 10 m of thin cord.
Description of work: For the frame of the Christmas calendar, treat the old frame with sandpaper, remove the dust formed with a soft cloth. Then evenly coat the frame with pink varnish, leave until the varnish completely dries.Cut two segments from the braid and attach to the rear side of the frame with a stapler. Stretch the stretches slightly.
For bags, cut the flaps into strips of various sizes: width = finished width plus 2 cm for allowances, length = double length of the bag plus 6 cm allowances for both drawstring. Carve a total of 24 details. Then line the longitudinal sections of each part with a zigzag seam. Fold the part in half with the front side inwards. Run the side seams, starting the stitch lines and ending them, not reaching 6 cm to the upper sections. Iron the seam allowances, stitch the upper sections close to the section. For the drawstring, unscrew the upper edges of the bag on the wrong side 2 times by 1.5 cm and sew on the edge. For each bag, cut two identical pieces of cord. Each segment is folded in half the width of the bag. Cut the lengths of the cord into the wings: first one segment into the front drawer, then into the back drawstring. Drive another segment in the opposite direction. Tie the ends of each segment. Put gifts in bags, pull the cords and tie.
For paper pendants, cut out samples with allowances from a sheet of patterns, stick to cardboard and cut along the contour. In the right place of the figure, make a hole with a hole punch, insert a piece of cord into the hole and attach it to the bag. Attach bags with pendants to the frame.
